McLean and Hamilton to lead Jamaica at Netball World Youth Cup
Captain Roxonna McLean and vice-captain Shaqwan Hamilton have been named to lead Jamaica’s Under-21 netballers at the upcoming Netball World Youth Cup in Gibraltar this September.
The 12-member squad features a mix of promising talent, including Jessica Chaplain, Fentonian Henry, Deandra Edwards, Nickesha Powell, Tori Akinrinlola, and Evelyn Smith. Also named are Azara Wilmot, Kaydeen Gordon, Tianna Reid, and Jada Ricketts.
The team will be supported by non-travelling reserves De-Eziah Martin, Mali Akinrinlola, and Shanai Martin.
Head coach Annette Daley will guide the unit, assisted by Nardia Hanson-Graham. They will be joined by manager Suzette Townsend, physiotherapist Oriana Blackwood, and team doctor Michele Holt as part of the travelling staff.
The Netball World Youth Cup will host 20 teams from across the globe, running from September 19–28 in Gibraltar.
