Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard wins West Coast Fever Most Valuable Player award again
Star Sunshine girl goal shooter Jhaniele Fowler-nembhard has won the West Coast Fever most valuable player for a 7th time.
Despite missing the first two games of the season, Fowler-Nembhard came out on top with a total of 43 votes for the Stacey Marinkovich medal ahead of defender Sunday Aryang 38 and wing attack Alice Teague-Neeld with 27.
Fowler-Nembhard was also awarded the club’s players’ player award voted by her peers.
She also claimed the People’s Choice Award and the most valuable shooter award.
Upon Fowler-Nembhard’s return to the game in round three, the side went on to win a Suncorp Cuper Netball record 13-straight games.
She became the first player to reach 9,000 national league goals during Fever’s round seven clash with the Giants and secured 7,000 ssn goals in the grand final against the Melbourne Vixens.
Fowler-Nembhard also finished the season on top of the league for both goals 724 and nissan net points 1,375.
