Tommi Gore targets redemption at Nürburgring in Round Three of ADAC GT4 Germany

Jamaican race car driver Tommi Gore returns to the track this Friday at the legendary Nürburgring motorsports complex as he gears up for Round Three of the ADAC GT4 Germany Championship.

The 20-year-old Montegonian will take part in a pair of practice sessions as part of final preparations with AVIA W&S Motorsport, where he’ll once again pilot a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS. Gore is looking to bounce back from a frustrating start to the season, which has so far been plagued by mechanical setbacks and on-track misfortune.

In his season opener at Oschersleben in April, Gore’s race ended on the very first lap after his car was rear-ended, sending him into the barriers and forcing an early retirement. Then in July at Norisring, gearbox issues curtailed his efforts once again, leaving him without a clean run to show his pace.

Now, with lessons learned and renewed determination, Gore is focused on a strong showing in Nürburg — a circuit he knows well.

“I’m feeling good about it. The team found some issues with the car from Norisring, and I’m hoping all is sorted out so we can have everything just perfect for this weekend,” he told IRIE FM Sports.
“I want to have a good show this weekend, and then in two weeks’ time — which is quite close — we have Round Four at Sachsenring, another famous track in Germany. So I’m really looking forward to the next two or three weeks ahead.”

Despite the challenges so far, Gore remains optimistic. While acknowledging the unpredictability of motorsport, he’s setting clear goals for Nürburgring.

“This time around, as for my expectations — honestly, I just want to go out there and drive as good as I can,” he added.
“Hopefully we can get a good package, and I’m sure we can deliver a top 10 or even a top five if everything works out — which might even lead into a podium, of course.
So I’m really looking forward to this weekend.

I just want to do a big thank you to all the media for covering this season so far. I mean, it’s Independence weekend as well — actually, it’s Independence Day for me today — and I need a great result to cap off this wonderful week for Jamaica, and to represent our country at the highest level, as we have been doing over the last two years internationally.”

Qualifying for Round Three will take place on both Saturday and Sunday ahead of the two feature races at Nürburgring.

Gore currently sits outside the top 10 in the championship standings but remains one of the most promising young Caribbean drivers on the European GT circuit. A breakthrough performance this weekend could mark a turning point in his 2025 campaign.
