Levell, Forde lead Jamaican charge at Memorial Wiesława Maniaka Meet in Poland
National men’s 200m champion Bryan Levell and sprinter Ryeim Forde delivered solid performances on Wednesday, claiming victories at the Memorial Wiesława Maniaka Meet in Szczecin, Poland — a World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze event.
Levell captured top honours in the men’s 200 metres, clocking 20.26 seconds to win Heat ‘A’. He led a Jamaican sweep of the podium with former Calabar High standout Christopher Taylor finishing second in 20.35 seconds and Kadrian Goldson securing third in a personal best 20.44 seconds.
In the second heat of the 200m, Odaine McPherson also represented Jamaica well, placing third in 20.84 seconds.

Forde continued Jamaica’s success in the men’s 100 metres, stopping the clock at 10.07 seconds to secure first place and complete a Jamaican one-two finish alongside Goldson, who took second in 10.10 seconds. Travis Williams placed fifth in 10.42 seconds, while McPherson was disqualified for a false start.
In the men’s 400 metres, Jevaughn Powell battled to a second-place finish in Heat ‘A’ with a time of 45.63 seconds, behind Australia’s Reece Holder, who won the race in 44.78. Delano Kennedy was sixth in the same heat, clocking 45.90 seconds. In Heat ‘B’, veteran Demish Gaye placed seventh in 47.35 seconds.
On the women’s side, Olympian Candace McLeod finished fifth in the 400 metres, recording a time of 53.76 seconds.
