Opposition Leader calls on government to address food insecurity concerns
Opposition Leader Mark Golding has called on the government to do more to rectify Jamaica’s food insecurity.
He made the appeal yesterday while at the Denbigh agricultural, industrial and food show, in Clarendon.
Golding said there is need to invest more in sustainable agriculture and to empower farmers.
He pointed out that food insecurity is negatively affecting other sectors, such as health and education.
