President of the Port Authority of Jamaica, Gordon Shirley says the expansion of the Westland Port at the Kingston Freeport Terminal will help boost the country’s economy.

Mr. Shirley made the statement at the ground breaking ceremony for the expansion project this morning.

According to Mr. Shirley, Kingston is on track to becoming the largest cargo terminal in the Caribbean.

He said today’s contract signing signals an improvement of the competitiveness of the Terminal.
