CARICOM Chair PM Holness urges region’s leaders to collaborate on modern policies to address gang activity
CARICOM Chair Prime Minister, Dr. Andrew Holness has urged leaders in the region to collaborate on modern policies that will address gang-related activities in each nation.
Dr. Holness made the comment, at the opening of the 49th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM in St. James, yesterday.
He was making the point that the region will not experience sustained prosperity with threats to its security.
However, Dr. Holness noted that while many nations have been approaching crime and violence as public health crises, governments must seek to implement strategies that consider the evolving strategies of criminals.
