INDECOM probing fatal shooting in Manchester
A man was fatally shot by police during an alleged confrontation on Lucky Street, Knockpatrick in Manchester yesterday.
He has been named as Moses Morgan.
Assistant Commissioner of the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM), Hamish Campbell said a probe has been launched.
He said Morgan was allegedly shot during a tussle with the lawmen at his home.
Mr. Campbell has renewed concern about the number of fatal shootings by the security forces since the start of the year.
He said 140 persons have been fatally shot by the security forces since January.
He stated that the entire 2022 recorded 134 fatalities, with 127 recorded in 2021.
In the meantime, a woman who identified herself as Morgan’s cousin said he was a hardworking man in his community and the town of Mandeville.
