Carnival revellers left trail of paint-defaced signs and properties yesterday
Despite warnings from the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSMAC), revellers participating in yesterday’s carnival in sections of Kingston left a trail of paint-defaced signs and properties.
This resulted in complaints from upset private property owners, who called on the KSAMC for redress.
The paint was also left on the road surface, street signs and police cars.
Chief Executive Officer Robert Hill said some effort was made to clear up the paint, but it was insufficient.
The authorities will be monitoring today’s Road March to ensure compliance with regulations, including garbage collection.
