Reggae Boyz slip one spot in latest FIFA Rankings but remain Caribbean leaders

Jamaica’s national senior men’s football team has experienced a slight dip in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola Rankings, dropping one spot to 63rd overall. Despite the minor slip, the Reggae Boyz remain the number one ranked team in the Caribbean with 1,386.65 points.

While Jamaica’s position has shifted, the news is still positive for the team as they hold a significant lead over their Caribbean rivals. Haiti has seen a rise, climbing three spots to 83rd, while Trinidad and Tobago edged up two spots to 100th, securing third place in the Caribbean rankings.

In the Concacaf region, Jamaica remains in sixth place, with regional powerhouse United States the best ranked team in 16th overall. Mexico follows closely in 17th after climbing two spots and Canada rounds out the top three, sitting 30th overall.

The rest of the Concacaf top five is completed by Panama, who jumped three spots to 33rd, and Costa Rica, which remains steady at 54th.

Globally, the top of the rankings sees little change, with Argentina holding onto their spot as world number one, after notching wins against Uruguay and Brazil in the last international window to cement a berth at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Spain moved up one place to second, swapping places with France, who slipped to third. England and Brazil, five-time World Cup champions, complete the top five positions.

The next group of teams in the rankings sees The Netherlands moving up a spot to 6th, while Portugal dropped to 7th. Belgium, Italy, and Germany continue to hold strong positions in 8th, 9th, and 10th, respectively.

Among African nations, 2022 World Cup semifinalist Morocco remains the highest-ranked, sitting in 12th place.
