Police launch probe into murder of businessman along Constant Spring main road this morning
The St. Andrew North Police have launched an investigation into the murder of a 26-year-old businessman along the Constant Spring main road this morning.
Police have identified the deceased as Stephan Trencfield of a St. Elizabeth address.
According to preliminary reports, the man and several others were travelling in a Mercedes motorcar along the roadway, when two men on a motorcycle opened gunfire at them.
Police say the motorcar was driven to the Andrews Memorial Hospital, where one of the occupants was pronounced dead.
The section of the Constant Spring main roadway, which was cordoned off to facilitate the processing of the crime scene, is now accessible.
