Sabina Park to host third Test Between West Indies and Australia this summer
Sabina Park will be the venue for the third Test of the upcoming series between the West Indies and Australia.
This will mark the first time in 10 years that Australia will tour the West Indies, and it promises to be a thrilling encounter.
As part of the World Test Championship cycle, the home series against Australia is set to begin with the first Test in Barbados from June 25 to 29, followed by the second Test in Grenada from July 3 to 7.
The action will then shift to Sabina Park, the mecca of cricket in Jamaica, where the third Test will be played from July 12 to 16.
Sabina Park will also host the first T20 International on July 20, followed by the second T20 match on July 22. These matches are part of a 5-match T20 International series that will take place between the two teams.
Following the opening two matches at Sabina Park, the series the remaining matches will be played at Warner Park in St. Kitts.
One of the most famous meetings between Australia and the West Indies, was back in 1995 between March and May, where both teams played a four-match Test Series, Australia won the series 2–1 with one match drawn. Australia’s victory was historic, with it being the first time the West Indies had lost a Test series and the No. 1 ranking in 15 years.
