The Mayor of St. Ann’s Bay and Chairman of the St. Ann Municipal Corporation, Michael Belnavis has been re-admitted to hospital and is undergoing supervision.

The Jamaica Labour Party says the mayor was attacked by an unknown assailant at his residence yesterday.

It’s understood that he was attacked with a sharp instrument.

The party says he sustained what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
