Justin Greaves century headline dominant day 2 for Windies against Bangladesh
West Indies are firmly in command of proceedings at stumps on day two of the first Bangladesh Test at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua.
Chasing a mammoth 451 to secure first inning, the visitors were reduced to 40 for 2 to trail by 410 after Jayden Seales and Alzarri Joseph removed openers Zakir Hasan (15) and Mahmudul Hasan Joy (5) with just 21 runs on the board.
Shahadat Hossain (10) and Mominul Haque (7) are the not out batsmen.
Earlier the Windies, resuming on their overnight 250 for 5, went on to amass 450 for 9 declared.
Leading the way was Justin Greaves who made a career-best 115 not out during his 206-ball stay at the crease after starting the day on 11.
The in-form Barbadian who was making his maiden test century also shared in a 140-run 8th wicket stand with Kemar Roach who fell 3 runs short of a half century after being dismissed while on 47.
It was the perfect follow-up to the nineties that Alick Athanaze and Mikyle Louis had scored on day one to lay the foundation.
Bowling for Bangladesh, Hasan Mahmoud took 3 for 87 while there were two wickets apiece for Taskin Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
