Manchester party promoters upset about curfews which hamper their livelihood

Assurances from the government of no intention to lock down businesses in Manchester due to the imposition of curfews have not been well-received by party promoters, who cite unfair treatment.

The promoters walked out of a town hall meeting last evening, a sign of their disgruntlement with National Security Minister Dr Horace Chang, who was the guest speaker.

The town hall was intended to reassure citizens of their safety and security, following an up-tick in murders, including a recent incident at the Mandeville market.

The curfews were welcomed by some citizens, but others complained that the restrictions were adversely affecting their livelihoods.

One promoter expressed disappointment with the outcome of the town hall.

She highlighted the struggles endured by promoters, now made worse by the curfews.

She also claimed that there seems to be a double standard, as to which events are allowed and which are curtailed.
