Access to Information (ATI) Tribunal Members Finalised
The Access to Information (ATI) tribunal has been constituted.
The update came from Information Minister Senator Dr. Dana Morris Dixon, who was responding to questions from Opposition Senator Lambert Brown at Friday’s senate meeting.
The update comes several months after the tribunal members’ terms ended.
The ATI tribunal addresses issues related to persons denied access to information by public entities.
It consists of five members appointed by the Governor General in consultation with the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition.
Speaking in the senate, Dr. Morris Dixon said the Governor General has signed the orders to facilitate the appointment of the tribunal members.
