Residents and business operators in Trench Town call on authorities to address sewage issues
Residents and business operators in Trench Town, St. Andrew are calling on the authorities to address sewage issues which they say have been affecting collie smith drive in the community since Saturday.
They say the sewage water which is running along Collie Smith Drive is not only unsanitary but is impacting businesses.
Residents say they have alerted the National Water Commission to the issue but it has yet to be addressed.
A businessman who operates a restaurant on Collie Smith Drive says the sewage water has led to a decline in sales.
Another business operator lamented that his establishment has also been impacted, negatively.
He noted further the health implications that the sewage water could have on residents, including children.
