Upset motorists and residents of Waltham Park road in St. Andrew staged a fiery demonstration today to call attention to the deplorable road condition.

They used debris such as old tyres, blue drums and downed shrubs to block a section of the roadway.

Member of Parliament for South West St. Andrew Dr. Angela Brown Burke lamented that the issue has been a long standing one.

Dr. Brown Burke noted however that the roadway is slated to be repaired under the government’s SPARK Programme. 

She called on the relevant authorities to quickly address the matter.
