The 14-year-old schoolboy who was charged with the murder of 15-year-old Raneil Plummer, was freed when he appeared  in the St. James’ Family Court today.

The fatal stabbing took place on April 18 outside the compound of Irwin High School which both students attended.

Police reports are that Raneil and a schoolmate had an altercation while at school. 

At about 3:00 P.M., Raniel was reportedly approached by a group of boys who attacked him. 

During the squabble, a knife was brought into play and Raniel was stabbed in the chest. 

He died while being treated at hospital.

The 14 year old boy was later charged.
