Reid headlines Jamaica 43 member squad for World Under 20 Championships in Lima, Peru

A 43 member squad headed by Olympic sprint relay finalist Alana Reid has been unveiled by the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) to represent Jamaica at the World Under 20 Championships in Lima Peru.

The 2022 World Under 20 bronze medallist who was part of Jamaica’s 5th place finishing team at the Paris 2024 Olympics, is among 22 females and 21 males who will represent Jamaica at the five day Championships, from August 27 to 31.

She will be joined by Abigail Campbell, Abrina Wright, Alliah Baker, Anecia Campbell, Briana Campbell, Deschanique Douglas, Habiba Harris, Jade-Ann Dawkins, Jaeda Robinson, Kelly-Ann Kerr, Kerrica Hill, Kitania Headley, Najada Seymour, Nastassia Fletcher, Rohanna Sudlow, Sabrina Dockery, Shamoya Morris, Shaniqua Williams, Shanoya Douglas, Shanque Williams and Theianna-lee Terrelonge.

The male team has Gary Card, Chad Hendricks, Chavez Penn, Daniel Beckford, Daniel Wright, Deandre Daley, Demarco Bennett, Jabari Matheson, Jace Witter, Jevaughn Pinnock, Junior Gallimore, Kemarrio Bygrave, Kyle Richards, Marcino Rose, Nyrone Wade, Omary Robinson, Richard Hall, Romario Hines, Shadane Smith, Shaquan Dunn and Trevoy Smith.

ISSA’s President Keith Wellington is the team leader and coach David Riley is the technical leader.

The other coaches are Michael Dyke, Corey Bennett, Neil Harrison, Jeremy Delisser, Michael Vassell, and Megan Wilson-Copeland.
