Chief Executive Officer of the National Commercial Bank (NCB) Bruce Bowen has indicated that there have been no recent job cuts among the company’s staff.

The update came as he responded to questions at the NCB Financial Group’s Quarter 3 investor briefing on Friday.

The question was raised regarding the commercial bank’s closure of several locations and the significant staff reduction in recent years, amidst a re-organization of the bank’s resources.

Mr. Bowen was asked whether NCB had been forced to lay off staff due to a reduction in business, particularly its loan portfolio.

In response, he said the company is always focused on efficiency and has in fact been adding resources in some cases.
