Jamaica advances to semi-final of 2024 Cazova Under 19 boys Volleyball Championship 

The hosts Jamaica who remained unbeaten, had to come from behind twice to secure a 3-2 win over the US Virgin Islands, and take pool A’ honors and a spot in the semi-finals.

USVI took the first set 25-23 before the Jamaicans pulled level with a 25-22 win in the second set.

The third set which was close saw USVI winning 26-24 to take a 2-1 lead before Jamaica came storming back with a 25-20 win in the fourth set.

The home side then took the fifth set 15-11 to win the game. 

Despite losing the game the USVI also advance to the semi-final after finishing second pool A’.

Meanwhile, Trinidad & Tobago had an easier passage after defeating Barbados by 3 sets to one  and topped pool B, while Barbados although losing also made progress to the last four. 

In the meantime, the Jamaican girls,  will this evening face Trinidad & Tobago in group A’ at 7 o’ clock for a chance to advance to the quarterfinal.

Barbados, the winners of Group A‘ are already through to the semi-final, while the US Virgin Islands are also in the last four after taking group B‘ honours.

Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago  both booked their respective places in the semi-final of the 2024 Cazova under 19 boys Zonal Championship  at GC Foster College last night.
