The Gregory Isaacs’s Foundation has announced that they will be hosting a global celebration in honour of the Reggae legend’s birthday.

Isaacs, dubbed the undisputed King of Lover’s Rock, would have celebrated his 74^th birthday on Monday July 15, 2024.

Speaking with Music News the Cool Ruler’s widow June Isaacs says the day is dedicated to the music fraternity and Gregory’s fans worldwide. Mrs Isaacs also took the opportunity to encourage fans worldwide to tribute the icon by playing music from his catalogue.

She also stated that fans will be in for a treat as a book on his life and work will be released in October of this year.

Gregory Isaacs, who was known for his smooth voice and romantic style, left an indelible mark on the world of reggae music. With timeless hits like Night Nurse, Love is Overdue, and Rumours, Isaacs’ music continues to resonate with fans across the globe.
