Opposition Leader says more focus must be placed on addressing climate change
Opposition Leader Mark Golding says the country must place more focus on addressing climate change.
His comment follows damage in the island’s main resort towns earlier this week.
Strong winds associated with a cold front resulted in sea levels rising in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, Montego Bay, St. James and Negril Westmoreland.
Roadways and other infrastructure were damaged as a result.
In a Facebook post yesterday, Mr. Golding said efforts must be ramped up to address climate change.
