Jamaica’s Men’s team off to F.I.H World Cup Hockey Tournament in Muscat, Oman
Jamaica’s team to the upcoming F.I.H Hockey fives men’s World Cup in Muscat, Oman will be leaving the island later today to compete at the tournament which flicks off on January 28.
The trip was made possible thanks to several sponsors, but largely to the Jamaica Olympic association who last week donated the 2 million dollars needed as the team was on the brink of not making the trip due to a shortfall of that amount.
Drawn in pool b, the Jamaicans will face off with Egypt, India and Switzerland.
The team captained by Ajani Burton will open its campaign against Egypt on the 28th before facing Switzerland six hours later that same day……after which they play India on the 29th.
