The police are trying to locate a motor truck believed to be the source of the oil spill, which led to several accidents along the Spur Tree main road in Manchester this morning.

The incident which occurred after 6 AM, resulted in the hospitalization of a police man.

Several other people were injured.

Speaking to reporters at the scene, Head of the St. Elizabeth police, Acting Superintendent Coleridge Minto, said it is suspected that the truck had mechanical issues, which led to the spill.

He noted that police teams in St Elizabeth, Westmoreland and Hanover are on the alert for the driver and the truck.
