Opposition Senator Peter Bunting laments that Jamaica’s economy is being stifled by bureaucracy
Opposition Senator Peter Bunting has lamented that Jamaica’s economy is being stifled by bureaucracy.
This, as he cited Prime Minister Andrew Holness’ own acknowledgement of the issues the country is facing with bureaucracy leading to delays with building and other projects.
Making his state of the nation contribution in the Senate yesterday, Mr. Bunting noted that instead of just acknowledging the issues, the Prime Minister should seek to address them.
Senator Bunting called on the government to stop blaming others and making excuses for its non-performance.
He noted further that developers continue to face unnecessary hurdles in the building process.
