Investor confidence in tourism sector still high says Bartlett
Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett says investor confidence in Jamaica’s tourism sector remains high, with the country on track to achieving the build-out of 20,000 hotel rooms in the next decade.
Minister Bartlett, who was giving an update on the sector in parliament on Tuesday, noted that among the new rooms are those slated to be opened at Royalton Blue Waters in Trelawny.
Mr Bartlett noted that ground will also be broken for Jamaica’s tallest building — a 25 story condo complex — offering hotel accommodations next month.
He added that the investment climate is alive and Jamaica remains a sought after destination.
