Education Ministry taking measures to prevent further breach in administration of CXC exams
The Education Ministry says it is taking measures to prevent any further breach in the administration of the Caribbean Examinations Council’s (CXC) exams.
In the last examination period, Jamaica was pointed out as the source of leaked exam papers.
In providing an update during a Post-Cabinet press briefing this morning, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Dr Kasan Troupe said investigations into the breaches are ongoing.
She explained that an audit of cabinets in the country’s schools is being conducted to ensure their effectiveness in securing the papers.
This, she said was one of several strategies being undertaken to prevent any further leak.
Dr Troupe said the situation has been an embarrassment for the country, with psychological impacts on students and strenuous demands on administrators.
