Geopolitical tensions across the world have significantly impacted the cost of living in Jamaica, however, Prime Minister Andrew Holness says the nation’s economy continues to perform well.

Speaking during an interview with Bloomberg’s Emerging Markets correspondent in New York, Mr. Holness noted that despite COVID-19 and other shocks, Jamaica has managed to keep its debt, inflation, and unemployment down.

Mr. Holness noted further that government continues with several strategic initiatives , to bolster growth and reduce Jamaica’s debt.

He added that the government is making investments in logistics, business process outsourcing and the development of financial technology.
