Laurette Adams-Thomas appointed new CEO of CPFSA
The Education Ministry says a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has been appointed to the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA).
She is Laurette Adams-Thomas.
Mrs. Adams-Thomas will replace Michelle McIntosh Harvey, who was acting as Interim CEO since April.
This after Rosalee Gage-Grey was asked to step aside to facilitate investigations into how the CPFSA handled its relationship, with the head of a United States charity organization, who had been accused of inappropriate behaviour.
In a statement this morning, the Ministry noted that Mrs. Adams-Thomas is the Former General Manager of The Golden Age Home, which is the largest infirmary in Jamaica and the Caribbean.
It said she has a diverse professional experience in the field of social work, as she worked internationally in supervisory and managerial capacities, in group homes that provide care for clients of all ages, who are mentally, physically and intellectually challenged.
