Clean up activities to begin for St Elizabeth residents affected by flooding
Residents of communities in southern St Elizabeth are expected to begin clean up activities today (June 9).
This, after their homes were flooded on Thursday, during heavy rains.
The affected areas are Duff House, Comma Pen, Bull Savannah near Junction and Ballards Valley.
Several farms were also impacted, with farmers reporting losses of crops including tomato, melon, and escallion.
There is concern about the clean up effects, as a flash flood watch is in effect, and more rains are expected. Flood waters will also have to recede.
One affected resident is appealing for help, with getting food.
