Akeem Blake in star studded field for USATF New York City Grand Prix on June 24
2022 Nacac gold medalist Akeem Blake has been listed in a star studded field for the USA/track and field New York City Grand Prix on June 24 at the Ichan stadium on Randalls island.
Blake who holds a season best of 9.98 seconds over 100 meters and who is the third fastest over the distance this year, will line up in the men’s 100 metres with a quality field that includes the 2019 world championship 100 metres gold medalist Christian Coleman.
Coleman won the men’s 100 metes event at last weekend’s racers grand prix in 10.03 seconds.
Also in the line up is world championships mile relay gold medalist’s Michael Norman who will be making first appearance at the meet, along with Kenny Bednarek and Marvin Bracy- Williams.
The meet which a gold-level stop on the world athletics’ continental tour gold series, is also expected to feature Zharnel Hughes of great Britain, and the previously announced pair of sprinting sensations Noah Lyles the 200 metres world champion and Fred Kerley the current world champion over 100 metres.
