Fifa Women’s World Cup closing in on one million tickets sold so far
Organizers of the 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup, which starts in 50 days, say they are closing in on one million tickets sold so far.
A Fifa spokesperson said that the ‘one million tickets sold milestone’ was expected to be reached over the next few weeks.
The world cup to be played in Australia and New Zealand, which features 32 nations, kicks off on the 20th of July with the final on August 20.
Jamaica’s Reggae girls will make their second appearance at the big showpiece when they tackle Brazil, France and Panama in group F.
2023 is the ninth edition of the Fifa Women’s World Cup and organizers are targeting a record 1.5 million ticket sales as well as a global television audience of two billion viewers.
