PIOJ notes 2.7% growth in the economy for the first quarter of this year
The Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) has noted a 2.7 per cent growth in the economy for the first quarter of this year.
PIOJ’s Director General, Dr. Wayne Henry says this growth was tempered by several factors, especially the ongoing drought affecting the country.
He pointed out that the drought has caused contractions in several major industries.
