Seniors in Cumberland, St. Catherine want more JUTC buses working on route through community
Some senior citizens in Cumberland, St Catherine are appealing to the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) to increase the number of buses available on the route that runs through the community.
Some residents who depend on the number 12 buses to make their daily commute have expressed frustration over the lengthy period in which they have to wait for public transportation at bus stops.
One elderly woman who told IRIE F-M news that she travels each Thursday to the Coronation Market in Kingston said her weekly commute has become quite tedious.
She explained that oftentimes the wait time would be for as long as three hours.
She wants the JUTC to urgently address the situation, and relieve the frustration of commuters, especially seniors.
Attempts to get a response from JUTC proved futile.
