A male student of the University of the West Indies’ Mona campus was found dead in his dorm room, on one of the halls of residence today (March 8).

The student’s identity has not been released.

Registrar Dr. Donovan Stanberry said the student who had a history of a medical condition, seems to have died of natural causes.

Dr. Stanberry said the student’s relatives have been contacted.

He said grief counselling is being offered to the student’s friends and hallmates.
