Two people killed in Sunday morning crashes
Two people were killed in vehicular crashes in separate incidents this morning.
In the latest incident, a woman was killed in a crash involving two coaster buses along the flanker main road in St. James.
Operations officer for the St. James police, Superintendent Eron Samuels says the accident occurred about 9:50 AM. The buses involved in the crash are used to transport hotel staff.
One of the drivers has been hospitalized in serious condition.
He says traffic has been diverted to facilitate the investigation into the crash.
Meanwhile, an unidentified male died as a result of injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Portland, this morning.
Preliminary reports are that the man was driving a Toyota motorcar along the buff bay main road around 5 AM, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a guard rail.
He died at hospital.
