Upset St Thomas taxi operators call for removal of contractors carrying out roads works in parish to be removed
Upset taxi operators from St Thomas have called for the contractors carrying out the road works in sections of St Thomas, to be removed from the project.
Members of the Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services, (TODSS), discussed the issue at length, during a virtual meeting last evening.
The operators complained that they have been suffering from the impacts of the poor road conditions for nearly 3 years, and their frustration has reached its peak.
The operators said after 2 years, the project should have progressed further.
They noted that the works minister has already threatened to remove the local contractors from the project, so they want him to follow through on this action.
The members have asked TODSS leadership to source information about the local contractors, in order to make a formal complaint to the government.
