Jamaica records 1 new case of Monkeypox
Jamaica’s Monkeypox case count has increased to five.
This, as 1 more person has tested positive for the virus.
In making the disclosure today (August 29), the Health Ministry said the patient who is a male from Kingston and St. Andrew, tested positive last week.
The case was locally transmitted.
Meantime, the ministry said 1 person is hospitalised with the virus, while 4 people are in home quarantine.
There has been 1 more recovery.
