NSWMA fleet of trucks further depleted following accident at the weekend
The National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) has seen its fleet of trucks further depleted, following an accident with one of its vehicles at the weekend.
The garbage truck plunged into the Rio Cobre near the flat bridge on Saturday night (June 25).
Five employees were aboard the truck at the time of the crash but escaped with minor injuries.
Head of the NSWMA, Audley Gordon told IRIE F-M news that the truck was retrieved from the river and was towed to a garage facility on Hagley Park Road yesterday.
He added that measures will be implemented in an attempt to fill the gap.
