A five year old boy has died from injuries sustained after he was hit by a White Toyota probox motorcar, in Clarendon on Wednesday.

He has been identified as Demaris Davey, a student of the Bunkers Hill Primary School and a resident of Broadleaf, in Frankfield, Clarendon.

Police say Davey was hit by the vehicle around 3:17 p.m.

The driver fled the scene and later abandoned the motor car in Recford, Clarendon.

The Frankfield police are investigating.
