5 reports submitted by the Integrity Commission last week, tabled in the Lower House today

The 5 reports submitted by the Integrity Commission (IC) last week were tabled in the Lower House today.

The accompanying rulings from the Director of Corruption Prosecution were also tabled alongside the investigation reports.

The reports tabled relate to statutory declaration breaches committed by some public officers.

As read by clerk of the House, Coleen Lowe, among them, is People’s National Party candidate and former Member of Parliament for Westmoreland Central, Dwayne Vaz.

Today’s tabling of the reports from the IC comes in the wake of contention and calls from the Opposition and segments of society, for reports to be tabled as soon as they are submitted, and the ruling made by the House Speaker as to how the reports are treated upon submission.
