Four (4) persons were arrested for unauthorized possession of ammunition during a major police operation in sections of St. Mary, this morning. 

Several other persons were detained.

Head of the St. Mary Police Deputy Superintendent Anthony Wallace told Irie FM News that the operation began at 6am in pursuit of the most violent criminals within the division. 

He said the operation focused on the Marson Town and the Oracabessa areas.
