257 new constables join the police force
A total of 257 new constables have joined the police force.
The officers graduated this morning during a passing-out parade at the National Police College.
Delivering the keynote address at the passing out parade, Minister of National Security, Dr. Horace Chang urged the new officers to use their roles as police officers to advance the cause of nation-building.
He added that in the face of gang violence and other societal threats, the young officers have the power to make a difference.
