Several managers and team members of Sandals Ochi Beach Resort highlighted the importance of literacy by reading to students at the Exchange Primary School in St Ann on Wednesday. 

The initiative formed part of the hotel’s Read Across Jamaica Day activities.

Speaking at the event, General Manager of the Hotel, Carol Bourke, said the activities will play a role in making students better citizens.

And Regional Public Relations Manager Lyndsay Isaacs, said while emphasis was placed on reading to the students, books were also provided to the school.
