Jamaica Fire Brigade Divisional Commander for St Catherine Superintendent Dennis Lyons says investigators are seeking to determine what caused a fire that claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl at her home in St. John’s Gardens, Spanish Town St. Catherine yesterday.

She has been identified as Gabriella Wright.

Reports are that at about 4:40 PM fire of unknown origin destroyed the dwelling.

Superintendent Lyons says investigators are still on the scene trying to ascertain where and how the fire started.

The Divisional Commander reveals that 1 occupant was taken to hospital before the brigade’s arrival.
