Jamaicans are being called on to explore digital expansion, thereby taking advantage of opportunities in the modern economy.

Director General of the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ), Dr. Wayne Henry made the call while addressing the Vision 2030 Jamaica Love Jamaica Fest, yesterday.

The event facilitated focus on leveraging Jamaica’s strengths in promoting stakeholder engagement and social contracts, to advance national development goals.

Dr Henry noted that Jamaica continues to face challenges associated with small island vulnerabilities, so the aim is to bring stakeholders together and build resilience.  

He stressed the importance of ensuring a globally competitive brand Jamaica.

Citing the event theme of ‘Jamaica my valentine: falling deeper in love’ Dr. Henry urged Jamaicans to use the valentines season to renew their commitment to the country.
