The Ocho Rios Police in St Ann seized 9 vehicles and issued a number of tickets, yesterday, under an initiative dubbed ‘Operation Reset’.
The operation brought together officers from the Ocho Rios Police station and members of the Transport Authority as part of an ongoing effort to restore order and improve the overall safety of the town.
Operation Reset focuses on: halting illegal vending, enforcing regulations for taxi operators, reducing traffic congestion and addressing unlawful activities that disrupt public order.
Head of the St Ann Police Senior Superintendent Carlos Russell says the initiative will continue.
The police say this initiative forms a major step toward revitalizing Ocho Rios and ensuring a peaceful, safe, and orderly environment for all who live and work in, or visit the town.
