“There will be no gimmicks at tomorrow’s 81st Jamaica Labour Party Conference, only a clear message that the party is serious about attending to the business of Jamaicans.”
That is according to Conference Chairman, Desmond McKenzie.
Mr. McKenzie noted that the annual conference will be the last major gathering before the General Election, which is due next year, so it is important to illustrate to citizens that the JLP is the right choice for governance.
He also sought to assure that the JLP has not abandoned its core mandate, which is to defend the rights of people, including workers and the poor.
